Back Again! - Joe Fabio

Hi Joe F. here. As a kid growing up in the 60s i dreamed of having a "Vette". I’ve seen a few driving up the local strip and had to have one, I bought one in 1972, a 63 hardtop / convertible (could have a 57 T-bird) for $1400. Polished it, painted the letters on the tires and was never dirty.  I drove it daily for many years. I joined a club called Empire Corvettes (Richie Shields was a member also back then) had some fun with rally races and racing at William Floyd. Alas the club folded and I had a baby. I sold the car for $6,000 and vowed in the future I would again get a Vette.. I retired in Sept 2004 and went to Meyer Chevy to look at Corvettes. At last I bought a 2004 silver coupe. I joined L.I.V. in 2005 (Richie S. was Pres.) what a shock as we had both belonged to a former club. Attended my first "show" and won a trophy (almost peed my pants). The guys and gals are great people that share a common love of the car. I’m proud to belong to L.I. V.
